Sunday Bushwick Brunch For The Dead
For everyone (especially Texans) that’ve ever woken up in Brooklyn needing a Mexican breakfast. Badly.
This was at the home of Nida Sinnokrot, my Palestinian artist friend who never saw an Israeli weapon he couldn’t turn into an anti-occupation art piece…..
A bunch of us got going on the huevos and cafe and while doing so we were lucky to be visited by Jolie Holland, whom I first met years ago playing guitar in a living room in Austin Texas.
The two of us swapped songs while the desayuno was prepared, and Nida assembled this short film of it. It’s hard for me to watch myself playing in the same venue as the talented Ms. Holland, but here is the video nonetheless. Enjoy.
